Your First Week

Each day is three tasks, each linked to its page, with a line on where you should be by the end of it. Do them in order, because each day builds on the one before. A farm without any hardware can still finish the week: day five may simply end with the app saying no probe is needed.

Day 1: Put the Farm on the Map

• Upload the RPA File, or Draw a Field
• Set Up the Farm: the nation first
• Give each field its crop, from the field’s page

By the end: Today fills itself in, and the inspection list on the Compliance tab shows what is already held.

Day 2: Read Today

• See the Week’s Decisions
• Read Where a Decision Comes From
• Get the Email and the Push Before a Date

By the end: you know which field has a closed period and when it starts.

Day 3: The Yard

• Draw a Store, a Heap and a Ditch
• Read the siting card on each feature
• Read the Inspection List and Fix a Line

By the end: the risk map exists. Each store is checked, or says why it cannot be.

Day 4: The First Record

• Log a Spray, or Log Fertiliser or Manure
• Add a Photo to a Record
• Read the evidence mark on the row

By the end: one line on the record with a photo, written in the day, on the field.

Day 5: A Reading

• Is a Probe Worth It Here
• Connect a Station you already own, or Claim the Sensor
• Place a Probe on the Field

By the end: a measured number beside a modelled one, labelled as such. Or the app’s verdict that the model is close enough on this field.

Day 6: The Pack

• Build and Share the Pack: the preview is free
• Read the cover as an inspector would: Reading the Pack
• Fill in the holding and business on Set Up the Farm

By the end: your CPH and SBI on every masthead, and the pack, watermarked, in your hand.

Day 7: The People

• Invite the Team and Set Roles
• Hand a Decision to Someone
• Invite an Advisor, if there is one
