How to: Get the Email and the Push Before a Date.

What It Tells You

A key date is a day the rules fix for a field. The closed period for manufactured nitrogen starts and ends; the closed period for high readily available N manure starts and ends, earlier on sandy and shallow soils; a temporary field heap must move within twelve months; the hedge-cutting closed season opens and closes. The Key Dates page lists them by month across the farm, each with the field and the regulation, and the overdue ones in red.

How It Works

The dates are derived from the farm’s nation, each field’s soil and crop, the heaps on the map and the SFI agreement where there is one. The SFI annual declaration is due by the end of the agreement year, and its window opens two months before. A key date within reach is a decision on Today, in the legal band, ahead of every window. A weekly email lists the month’s dates. Each date can be added to the phone’s calendar.
