What It Tells You

A live soil reading is a measured value from a probe in the field: soil moisture as a percentage and soil temperature in °C, with the device and the time it came from. Soil moisture tells you whether the crop can take up nitrogen this week and whether the ground will carry a spreader. Soil temperature tells you whether the seedbed is warm enough to drill and whether the soil is warm enough for an application. The same readings feed the drilling window, nitrogen timing and water stress models. A field with a probe gets those answers from its own soil.

How It Works

An AgriHub360 Sensor reports every 15 minutes or slower over LoRa to the Hub. The Hub posts each reading to the Device API. A device you bring posts to the same endpoint. Each reading is labelled measured and shown on the field timeline next to the modelled value it replaces. A sensor that stops reporting is shown as stale.
